Leeds and Bradford Friendship Group is a local social group with about 50 ++ members, singles and couples, aged 50-80+, from all over Leeds and Bradford. Our Annual subscription is £25 per year pro rata. We welcome new members to visit twice for free so as to see what we are about.
We meet on the first Wednesday of each month at Pudsey Civic Hall, just off the Leeds Ring Road at Dawson's Corner near Owlcotes Shopping Centre. The doors open at 1.00 p.m., and we have a speaker or entertainment from 2.00 p.m. We then break for tea/coffee and chat, with a raffle and information about our forthcoming activities ending at 4.00 p,m. Our welcome ensures that members make friends at the meetings.
Our Other Activities
Outings: Marcelle and Charles arrange some wonderful coach trips. In the winter they are generally local but from April the outings are mostly day trips to places of interest further afield. In October we have a mystery trip which includes a meal. Our December outing is a coach trip to a restaurant for a mid-day Christmas Dinner.
New member Audrey, says "I was new to the area and did not know anyone and was feeling lost. I poppped along to see what the group was about. Everyone was so welcoming I now look forward every month to the meeting and luncheon club. I have also put my name down for a few trips".
